Students with Asthma: What Teachers Need to Know Resource Package
Ophea in partnership with the Asthma Society, The Lung Association and the Public Health School Asthma Pilot Project, developed the Students with Asthma: What Teachers Need to Know Resource Package. Funded by the Ontario Asthma Plan of Action. In November 2004, one copy of the Englishresource package was distributed to each school in Ontario and in March 2005, two copies of the French resource package were distributed to every French school board in Ontario.
This resource package takes a closer look at physical activity and asthma and includes: a poster to help promote the resource package in your school, informative brochures, samples of books andadditional asthma resourcesfrom the Asthma Society and The Lung Association for teachers to use with students including; fact sheets, an emergency procedures poster, and order forms for additional copies.
The Students with Asthma: What Teachers Need to Know Resource Packageis available in English and French, free of charge, to all elementary and secondary teachers in Ontario.
