Bouncing Bubbles
 
 
Grade:
Kindergarten
Facility:
Gymnasium, Multi-purpose room, outside.
Materials:
1 balloon or beach ball per student
Activity Description:
Summer holidays are just around the corner, celebrate the beginning of summer by ‘Bouncing Bubbles’ with your students.
Overview:
  • Students keep a balloon/beach ball in the air using their feet, hands and other parts of their bodies.
  • Students hit the balloons at different levels and in different directions.
  • Students kick the balloon from one side to the other.
  • With a partner, students use various body parts to keep the balloon in the air.
  • Students toss the balloon and do various tasks before hitting it again, such as tossing and clapping hands, tossing and touching the floor.
  • Students play catch with their partner.
  • Students roll the balloon along the floor one side to the other using their hands.
  • Challenge students to think about their own ways of moving the balloon.
