Is there a text available for the Grade 12 H&PE courses?
Thompson Educational Publishing is in the process of writing a text for the grade 12 Exercise Science course. They have drafts of the first two chapters of the student text available now and a workbook that would complement course profile materials will be available next year. Ophea is working with Thompson to review the text to make sure it aligns with the curriculum and the public and Catholic course profiles.
Texts for other courses:
There are a number of books available through other publishers (e.g., Glencoe Health and Human Kinetics books). Some schools are ordering those as reference or to use for all of the grades by using different parts for different grades. Other schools are not using a text and just using the Ophea support documents and additional supports.
