Ophea provides high quality programs and services to support healthy schools and communities
Healthy Schools & Communities
Creating healthy schools and communities is a shared responsibility. Educators, students, families and community partners (including public health, sport and recreation providers and others) all have a role to play in creating healthy active environments for our children and youth.
If you are interested in how you can improve health and learning within a healthy school and community, this section of Ophea.net is for you!
Healthy Schools, Healthy Communities: How You Can Make a Difference is an illustrated video developed by Ophea’s Physical Activity Resource Centre (PARC) that is designed to support individuals and communities in working towards healthy schools.
Many schools and communities are already using Ophea's programs and services and are on their way to making their school a healthy school. If you have not started building your healthy school, consider choosing an Ophea program to start building a healthier learning environment for your students and participating in Ontario's Healthy Schools Recognition Program.
