As parents and students across the country are preparing to return to school, neurologists Wilkie Wilson and Cynthia Kuhn have some advice on how to improve their performance both inside and outside the classroom. That advice is to have an understanding of the most important tool they are going to use - their brains. Wilson and Kuhn suggest that teaching students what they need to know about their brains - including the need for rest, high protein breakfasts and physical activity - will help them improve their brain function and success in school.
