The Built Environment- Creating Active Living Communities
The workshop will give an overview of the build environment as it pertains to physical activity and will provide participants with an environmental scan of what is going on in this area across the province. It will also be a great opportunity for health promoters to discuss challenges and successes in this emerging area. A special guest from the Ontario Healthy Communities Coalition will be available to answer specific questions.

Mental Health and Physical Activity: Recovery in Motion
This exciting new area of interest will be discussed, presenting the latest research on the topic of using physical activity within mental health treatment. The workshop will provide an opportunity to discuss topics ranging from physical activity and depression to physical activity and substance abuse with a lead researcher in this area from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) on hand for a question and answer session.

PARC Online WorkshopsSeries
PARC workshops are delivered in an on-line/teleconference format using Microsoft Live Meeting & Bell Conferencing. Participants need a computer with high-speed Internet access and a separate phone line. Several participants can share a computer and phone line, so that more than one person per location can participate. All workshops are free of charge and are approximately one and a half hours in duration. Please note that there is a maximum number of 20 participants per workshop.
Physical Activity101& Behavior Change
This Workshop is for community leaders (e.g. health professionals, educators, recreation) involved in planning and/or implementing physical activity initiatives. Learn the theories behind influencing behavior change; to better understand, reach out to, and reflect the needs of changing adults to your programs.
