Help us continue to be a provincial voice for quality H&PE
Dear Friend of Ophea,
As Ophea’s Executive Director and CEO I am so proud of our long and rich history (we’re coming up to our 100th year anniversary in 2021!) of supporting Ontario-wide school health programs, including the Health and Physical Education (H&PE) curriculum. The importance of quality H&PE for Ontario students is more relevant than ever because it helps kids address the many challenges they face today.
To me, H&PE means having the confidence to participate. It means that my daughters feel safe to be who they are. It means experiencing the joy of movement. It means learning how to navigate a world that has become a lot more complicated than the one I grew up in. H&PE means respecting the diverse voices that make up our education system like students, parents, teachers, and researchers.
Use your voice and tell us — What does H&PE mean to you?
Help us continue to be a provincial voice for quality H&PE — Donate to Ophea.
Ontario teachers rely on Ophea for our recommendations to government on policy development, for training support, and for the hands-on tools we provide to help them deliver quality H&PE.
From now until December 31, our goal is to raise $5,000 to help Ophea continue being a provincial voice for quality H&PE. Tell us what H&PE means to you on Twitter by tagging #HPEVoices and then donate to Ophea.
Your donation will help Ophea advocate for an H&PE curriculum that respects different voices and support teachers in delivering the H&PE their students need.
Make your voice heard and donate to Ophea.
Thanks for your support,
P.S. Donate to Ophea because we can advocate for quality H&PE and support teachers in giving kids the education they deserve.
