COVID-19 Support Resources
While the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a very different school environment for the 2020/2021 school year, Ophea believes that the health and well-being of students, staff, and the broader community should still remain a priority during these challenging times—and Healthy Schools Certification can help.
Ophea recognizes that implementing Healthy Schools Certification may look different for schools across Ontario and require various approaches. Ophea has developed this COVID-19 Support Resources section to provide tips for how schools can implement the 6-Step Healthy Schools Process. These resources will continue to be updated throughout the school year as more information becomes available.
As you review this information, please consider direction from public health professionals, as well as school policies and protocols relating to COVID-19. This includes any safety (e.g., physical distancing, personal protective equipment, use of physical activity equipment) and confidentiality (e.g., student privacy when meeting remotely by video) measures that your school and/or school board have put in place. If you encounter any challenges during the school year, Ophea is available to answer questions you may have as you work toward Healthy Schools Certification.
