Tree Canada Greening Canada's School Grounds Program

Region: National

Funding: $500- $3,500

Eligibility/Funding Criteria:

  • Contributes making Canadian schools cleaner, greener places for children to learn and play

Toyota Evergreen Learning Grounds School Ground Greening Grants

Region: National

Funding: Up to $3,000

Eligibility/Funding Criteria:

  • Helps schools create outdoor classrooms to provide students with a healthy place to play, learn, and develop a genuine respect for nature
  • Canadian schools (JK–Grade 12) and not-for-profit daycares for onsite greening projects

TD Friends of the Environment Foundation

Region: National

Funding: Average $2,500/project

Eligibility/Funding Criteria:

  • Educational institutions (primary / secondary / post-secondary)
  • Eligible projects include: environmental education, tree plantings (native plant species), energy conservation, schoolyard or urban naturalizations projects, community gardening programs, etc.

Application deadline: Check website in the Fall for the January 15th, 2019 application deadline

Region: National

Funding: Up to $400

Eligibility/Funding Criteria:

  • Action projects must be interactive, educational, and address a local sustainability issue
  • Projects that engage the students and make a positive impact upon their school/community
