CAAWS (Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women)

Region: National

Eligibility/Funding Criteria:

  • Supports opportunities for girls and women to participate in sport and/or promote sport to girls and women

DreamCatcher Fund

Region: National

Eligibility/Funding Criteria:

  • For Ontario First Nation status members Minor sports teams, individual athletes 25 years and under & special events
  • To address risk factors faced by First Nations youth, by providing scholarships, bursaries, and grants to attend educational programs, and by providing equipment, facilities, and opportunities to participate in structured recreational and/or organized sporting activities

JumpStart - Canadian Tire

Region: National

Eligibility/Funding Criteria:

  • Helps children (4-18 years) in financial need participate in organized sport and recreation activities
  • National program and local chapters

KidSport Ontario

Region: National/Provincial

Eligibility/Funding Criteria:

  • Support children (18 yrs or younger)
  • Support registration fees and equipment for organized sports instructed by qualified coaches

Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) Grants

Region: National

Eligibility/Funding Criteria:

  • Encourages back-country, urban and near-urban outdoor recreation that focus on self-propelled activities (such as cycling, hiking, trail-running, climbing and paddling)
  • Provide opportunities for people (including youth and diverse groups) to try new outdoor activities and/or develop skills

NHL Players’ Association Goals & Dreams Fund

Region: Provincial

Eligibility/Funding Criteria:

  • Intended to provide equipment grants for grassroots hockey programs for children, families & communities
  • Not a substitute for existing funding or fundraising activities

Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) Grade 9 Try Day Program

Region: Provincial

Eligibility/Funding Criteria:

  • To expose Grade 9 students to new/ unconventional sports or physical activities
  • To motivate Grade 9 students to get involved in high school sport & activities
  • Small & rural schools encouraged to apply
  • Minimum of 60 Grade 9 students, OR a minimum of 80% of the Grade 9 population in schools with 75 or less Grade 9 students, must participate

S' Cool Life Fund

Region: National

Eligibility/Funding Criteria:

  • Grants for D.R.E.A.M.S. (Drama, Recreation, Extra-Curricular, Arts, Music, or Sports)
