3 Ophea Asthma Supports to Increase Knowledge and Awareness

Did you know as many as 5 out of 20 children have asthma? Ophea has developed various supports for educators, in partnership with the Ontario Lung Association, to increase their skills and knowledge about asthma management in schools. Just in time for World Asthma Day (May 1, 2018), this blog highlights three of the free bilingual supports to help get you started!

1. Asthma e-Learning Module

Ophea’s NEW Implementing Ryan’s Law: Ensuring Asthma Friendly Schools e-Learning module is designed to support school staff in understanding and applying Ryan’s Law in their school to ensure the safety and well-being of students with asthma. Throughout the e-Learning Module, participants engage in a variety of learning tasks using text, video, and illustrations.

2. Management of Asthma at School Tip Sheets

Ophea’s Management of Asthma Tip Sheets support all members of the school community (administrators, teachers, students, parents/guardians) and include tips specific to their role in supporting students with asthma.
